Torreglia, land of ancient delights and pleasures
In the venetian hinterland, next to the Euganean Hills, there is Torreglia, a little village, beloved destination of writers, painters, high venetian nobility, and high clergy of Padova.
In this little village, we’ll visit Villa dei Vescovi, an architectural gem, desired by the bishop Francesco Pisani. Here we’ll be enchanted by the beauty of the view from its loggias and its roof garden, by the marvellous frescos of Sustris and by its monumentality.
We’ll continue our tour with a little stop to visit Antica Trattoria Ballotta, which, opened in 1605, is the second oldest restaurant of the Veneto Region. Originally property of the ancient monastery of Monteortone, in 1605 it became a restaurant in which many illustrious personalities, such as Galileo, feasted. Here, we’ll have an Aperitif with seasonal products accompanied by owners tell.
