Almost entirely on the cycle path, there will be plenty of stretches of dirt road which we recommend to cover it with a mountain bike or a classic bike, bicycle touring, or city. You can decide to start the path from any point but we, for convenience, we choose Abano Terme and proceed in a clockwise direction. In succession will be dozens of opportunities to admire the monuments that the ring allows us to meet. Villa Draghi, which from its elevated position overlooking the town of Montegrotto Terme, a few kilometers after will follow the splendid view of the Castle of Catajo, incredible testimony of the SIXTEENTH century, the so-called “palace of the Euganean Hills,” with its 350 rooms. A straight stretch of road along the battaglia canal, an ancient waterway for the transportation to and from Padova, he then takes us up to the Villa Emo, which will open our eyes with its beautiful garden. Arrived at the “Monselice” we have traveled a third of our ride and we will take a well-deserved break for a walk in the city. We will meet the Castle of Monselice is one of the few Castles in a fully furnished, then we will head up to the famous Seven Churches, and we will enjoy from the top of the view of the town. We are leaving for the Town of Este and the Carrarese Castle, and we shall pass first to the channels of the reclamation, then long paths immersed in the countryside with a view of the soft curves of the Hills that accompany us to our right. Lunch break near Lozzo Atestino in a typical trattoria, and then we will observe from outside the Castle of Valbona, where we will have a beautiful testimony of the medieval history of the territory. It was a fortress of the famous noble family of padua, whose history is interwoven with that of the two Castles admired earlier in Monselice and Este. Still twenty miles to return to base, a last effort will allow us to arrive at our last point of interest, the Praglia Abbey, the ancient monastery of the XI century, the seat of the Library, the Monumental, National and of the Laboratory of restoration of the old book.
