• How long does the tour last? The experience lasts about 4 hours.
• What will we taste during the tour? The selection of tastings may vary depending on the shops and restaurants open on the date of your choice. Among the specialties, you’ll find cheeses, cured meats, baked goods, desserts, gourmet specialties, and other typical products from the Padua area. The goal is not to offer a set menu, but to help you discover the flavors and culinary traditions that define the city.
• What if I have allergies or food intolerances? It’s extremely important that you let us know about any food allergies, intolerances, or special dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, avoiding pork, etc.) in the booking. We’ll do our best to find suitable, traditional alternatives.
• Is this a tour with seated tastings? Not exactly. The tour is designed as a culinary stroll through the center of Padua, with various stops and tastings—some seated inside the establishments, others standing. We therefore recommend wearing comfortable shoes.
• Is it also suitable for those unfamiliar with Paduan cuisine? Absolutely. No specific knowledge of Italian or Paduan cuisine is required. You’ll be guided through the discovery of local products and traditions, as well as the interesting facts and characteristics of the various tastings, in a simple and informal way.
• Does the tour take place even if it rains? Yes, the tour takes place even if it rains. Most of the tastings are held indoors. The experience includes a walk through the historic center, which is largely sheltered by arcades. However, we recommend that you bring an umbrella, a waterproof jacket, and appropriate footwear.
