    Details

The property, surrounded by an idyllic landscape, comprises a vast estate of about 90 hectares consisting partly of woods and partly of vineyards and olive groves.

After a parenthesis of monastic history, with the suppression of some religious orders by the Venetians in 1792, the property was purchased by the Corinaldi counts. In place of the old monastery, the Venetian nobles built the buildings we see today, equipped them with imposing cellars and began the production of wines renowned throughout Europe, planting, among the first in Italy, Bordeaux vines.

During the First World War, this castle in the Euganean Hills housed the headquarters of King Victor Emmanuel III. At the end of the 1950s, with the planting of new vineyards and with winemaking programmes linked to traditional pre-industrial production processes, the company resumed its winemaking vocation.

Today this extraordinary castle in the Euganean Hills houses

    • some flats equipped with kitchen for a holiday in total autonomy
    • some elegantly furnished rooms
    • a multi-function indoor swimming pool with various whirlpools, counter-current swimming and cervical showers (open all year round)
    • a wine bar inspired by the excellent Veneto food tradition, with rustic snacks based on local and regional products.

Immersed in the large garden, which also houses a small thermal lake fed by enclosed hot springs, you will be welcomed within the perimeter walls of the castle and surrounded by centuries-old trees with a splendid view of the surrounding countryside.
