    Itinerary

Day 1 ARRIVAL AT YOUR HOTEL

Arrival at a SPA Resort in Abano Terme (Padua) in the heart of the Veneto region. First you will have time to settle into your room and some free time to relax in the thermal pools. Afterwards you will have dinner in a typical trattoria in the Euganean Hills where you will be able to tickle your palate with typical dishes of the Veneto culinary tradition.

    Day 2TREVISO

The first stop on this tour of Veneto is Treviso. The small Venice of the mainland: among the rivieras, the market, the mills and the ancient buildings let yourself be enchanted by the city of the Sile river! Walking on Ponte Dante you will see how the waters of the Sile mix with those of the Canale Cagnan, continue to Casa dei Carraresi without missing one of the most magical places in the city: the Canale dei Buranelli. But the Marca Trevigiana is also known for its great wine production: there will follow a wine tasting dedicated to the Veneto bubbles par excellence, those of Prosecco, accompanied by an interesting visit to the winery to learn all the secrets of this internationally renowned product.

    Day 3ARQUA’ PETRARCA

The most beautiful village in Veneto will enrapture your heart with its narrow streets and timeless atmosphere. During the tour in Arquà Petrarca you will be accompanied by the Tour Leader to discover the village and its history, starting from the house where the poet Francesco Petrarca lived and gave his name to the village. This will be followed by a tasting of typical products of excellence from the area: from the award-winning extra virgin olive oil, through typical local products to the famous liqueur that will literally send you “into jujubes”. At the end, lunch based on typical local products in a local winery.

    Day 4VENICE

Visit Venice, the typical and authentic Venice, with a walk through the Calli, Campielli, ancient and colourful palaces and famous shops. Listen to the voices of the gondoliers, see how Venetians go about their daily lives in the city of water, cheered by the city’s crisp air and caressed by the salty breeze. Discover all the small but significant facets of this masterpiece city until you reach the main destination of the tour: St Mark’s Basilica. Breathe in the air of the great Serenissima Republic of Venice and stop to taste the typical dishes of the Veneto region.

    Day 5PADUA

With this tour in Padua you will take a walk through the city to discover the most important sights and monuments. First of all Prato della Valle, the largest square in the city of Padua and one of the largest in Europe. With its 78 statues Prato della Valle is a kind of album of the important people of Padua.

Next you will reach the Basilica of St. Anthony or ‘Il Santo’, visited by millions of pilgrims every year.  Next, along cobbled streets and medieval arcades you will reach the beating heart of the historic centre. You will see the city’s Old Ghetto, which with its narrow streets and small bars has become a meeting place for young students from Padua University.

You will then reach Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza della Frutta, overlooked by Palazzo della Ragione. Mornings here are enlivened by the stalls of the local market and the bustle of people under the ‘Salone’, the city’s ancient covered market.

Your tour of Padua will continue to Piazza dei Signori where the residence of the city’s lords once stood, now a meeting place for Paduans for the ritual of the aperitif.

Finally, you will pass by Palazzo Bo, the seat of the University of Padua, founded in 1222, which has always attracted students from all over the world.

You will end the tour with a Paduan tasting, choosing between a typical aperitif at the old shops of the Mercato Sotto il Salone or the famous mint coffee at the historic Caffè Pedrocchi.

As of 24 July 2021 the city of Padua has entered the UNESCO World Heritage List for the second time for its “14th century fresco cycles in Padua”. The first time was in 1997 with the Botanical Garden, located in the city’s historic centre, founded in 1545 and the oldest in the world, which was considered a World Heritage Site as “representing the cradle of science, scientific exchange and understanding of the relationship between nature and culture”. This brings the number of UNESCO sites in the Veneto region to nine.

Day 6RELAX AND AMUSMENT AT THE THERMAL SPRINGS

On this day we invite you to a walk in the city of love par excellence: Verona, the pearl of the Veneto region.

You will discover Castelvecchio and its bridge, the Arco dei Gavi and Corso Cavour. Continuing along the Corso you will reach Piazza delle Erbe and crossing the Arco della Costa you will be in Piazza dei Signori without missing: the Arche Scaligere, Juliet’s House and Via Mazzini, Verona’s famous shopping street that will lead you directly to Piazza Bra and the Arena.

    Day 7VERONA

Let yourself be seduced by the city of love par excellence: Verona, the pearl of the Veneto. Take a stroll to discover Castelvecchio and its bridge, the Gavi Arch and take Corso Cavour. Continuing along the Corso Cavour you will reach Piazza delle Erbe and, after crossing the Arco della Costa, you will be in Piazza dei Signori, without missing the Arche Scaligere, Juliet’s House and Via Mazzini, Verona’s famous shopping street, which will lead you directly to Piazza Bra and the Arena.
