During this special weekend you will sleep in the heart of the Euganean Hills Regional Park, immersed in a medieval atmosphere, in one of the most beautiful villages in Italy: Arquà Petrarca.
This beautiful village in the 13th century became a fiefdom of the Marquises of Este, and then entered the political orbit of Padua. Arquà was a vicar during the Lordship of the da Carrara family and in those years it hosted the poet Francesco Petrarca, whose mortal remains it still houses.
Having passed under Venetian rule, the town maintains its medieval architectural characteristics although there is no shortage of new constructions of villas and palaces with a Byzantine Gothic style, typical of the lagoon city.
During your stay you will not only have the opportunity to visit the ancient village but we will take you to discover the flavors of the excellent products of the Euganean Hills such as DOP extra virgin olive oil and DOC wines as well as the history of the iconic sites.
DAY 1
Accommodation in a newly renovated apartment in the heart of the village.
Convivial moment of getting to know the home owner and delivery of information material.
Free time to visit the village, the poet’s house and/or walk the Atestino path. – It is possible to request a naturalistic and hiking guide. Extra cost.
Free dinner in the apartment or in one of the restaurants in the village.
DAY 2
Pick up by minivan from the Arquà Petrarca car park and transfer to Villa dei Vescovi.
Guided tour dedicated to the Villa. Approximately 1.5 hours.
Transfer to the Quota 101 winery for a tasting of local wines and a light lunch based on cured meats and cheeses.
Return to Arquà.
Free afternoon to explore the surrounding paths.
DAY 3
Check out.

Overnight stay, two nights, in a B&B apartment in the center of Arquà Petrarca.
