In the afternoon, tour to the village of Arquà Petrarca in the heart of the Euganean Hills.
Arquà is the second most beautiful village in Italy and was home to the great Italian poet Francesco Petrarca. After visiting the House of Petrarch, you will see an oil mill and discover all the secrets of olive oil. Finally, you will visit a producer of preserves and liqueurs typical of the Euganean Hills and taste the famous Brodo di Giuggiole (jujube broth).

The first visit will be the Monumental Garden of Valsanzibio, immense symbolic garden from the 17th century, which a few years ago was named the most beautiful park in Italy. It is located in Galzignano Terme, a small town situated inside the Regional Park of the Euganean Hills, completely surrounded by the green landscape and the soft curves of the hills. This area was chosen by many Venetian patricians for the construction of their sumptuous Venetian Villas, an oasis of tranquillity but at the same time an expression of the economic power of the owner.
The Monumental Garden of Valsanzibio was conceived in the 17th century by the architect and fountain designer Luigi Bernini, who created the most significant example of a symbolic garden of the 17th century.
Here, in fact, water features, tree-lined avenues, fountains, the intricate labyrinth and statues are harmoniously combined in an allegorical path of “Salvation” along which the visitor, following various stages, from the Portal of Diana to the Statue of Winged Time to the Dolphin Fountain, is guided in the symbolic liberation from sins.
The visit of Villa dei Vescovi in Torreglia will follow. The unmissable Villa, FAI heritage (Italian Envornmenal Fund), in Luvigliano di Torreglia, a precious gem set in the Euganean Hills. Villa dei Vescovi, ancient summer residence of the high prelates of Padua, dates back to the first half of the sixteenth century and is the result of a path of transformations, decorations and extensions.
It will be exciting to be enchanted by the harmony with which the building binds to the surrounding landscape and the beauty of the Euganean Hills seen through the large arches of the loggias and the hanging courtyard.
Inside the Villa you will go through the noble rooms, the bedroom, the living rooms and the large and bright hall where your eyes will be gladdened, step by step, by the beautiful cycle of frescoes by Lambert Sustris with bucolic motif.
After a morning of relaxation at the hotel spa, in the afternoon you will experience a tour of Padua with your local guide to discover the real Padua, the one of hidden alleys and postcard views. During the tour you will not miss stops at the city’s most important squares and monuments and a pleasant stop for a typical Paduan tasting.
