Wine tour in the Euganean Hills

With the Wine tour in the Euganean Hills you will discover all the secrets of Euganean wine. During the excursion you will visit two family-run wineries, enjoying a walk in the vineyard and a visit in the cellar and tasting delicious wines paired with local products.

The Wine tour in the Euganean Hills will take you to discover this group of hills of volcanic origin that rise to heights from 300 to 600 metres above the Padan plain (also known as the Po Valley), less than one hour drive from Venice.

You will enter the heart of the Euganean Hills Regional Park to discover, thanks to a visit of two renowned wine cellars, the best wine production in the area.

In the Euganean lands, in fact, the particular volcanic origin of the soil and the good climate allow the cultivation of various grape varieties. White wines include Serprino (a biotype of the Glera vine), which can be called the “volcanic version” of Prosecco; Pinot bianco; Garganega, Chardonnay and Manzoni. The local red wines include Raboso, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Carmènere. 

During the walk through the vineyards, the visit to the barrel cellar and various wine tastings, you will listen to the knowledgeable winemakers who will guide you through the tasting process to capture all the expressions of their best wines.

Available rates:

• Self-guided tour: transport and accompaniment not included. You will be given information on how to reach the winery and the oil mill independently. Duration about 4 hours, including travelling times. 
• From Terme Euganee: includes to-and-from transportation by car/minivan and pick-up from your hotel in Abano Montegrotto Terme. You will meet your guide on board. Duration about 4 hours, including travelling times. 
• From Padua: includes to-and-from transportation by car/minivan and pick-up from your hotel in Padua city. You will meet your guide on board. Duration approx. 5 hours, including travelling times.
• From Venice: includes return ticket from Venice to Terme Euganee and pick-up by car/minivan from the Terme Euganee train station. The train journey is independent, with no accompaniment. You will meet your guide in Terme Euganee on board the minivan.  Duration about 6,5 including travelling times. 

Guaranteed departure with a minimum of 4 paying adults.

EXPLANATIONS DURING THE TOUR: only touristic guides can and are allowed to explain the monuments, the city and the museums. Accompaniers just help you in case you need it or take you to the most beautiful places chosen for your tour.

MEETINGS: In case the meeting point with the guide/accompanist is in the place of the tour it is necessary to give an active telephone number, which will be given to the guide/accompanist. In case you can’t find the guide/accompanist please call the number +39 333 994 52 88. If you don’t contact us, the agency cannot be retained as responsible.

OPENING TIMES OF THE MONUMENTS: Some monuments are not always open. If you are interested in visiting a special monument, tell us in the moment of request of quotation. In case you don’t asked us, the agency cannot be retained as responsible.

TRANSFER SERVICES: The transfer service for the client, if done with the Minivan of the agency, is included as a transfer service for free and carried out for courtesy only in order to full fill the necessities of the tour.  For fares purchased that include train tickets: In case of public transportation strikes please contact us for alternative arrangements or cancellations. In the absence of alternatives we will cancel and refund the tour in advance. The value of train tickets already purchased will be retained at the will not be refunded.

WEATHER: The tour takes place even in case of bad weather. If the tour is cancelled it is to protect your safety. The tours to Venice take place even in case of high water.

LANGUAGES SPOKEN DURING THE TOURS: Tours could be held in multiple languages at the same time.

RESPECT FOR TIMETABLES AND GROUPS: With the confirmation of the tour, you accept the timetable indicated in the program. In order to have an above-board tour, it will not be possible to change the timetable except it is a decision of the tour leader.
