The Euganean Hills are the ideal destination for those seeking an authentic experience, far from mass tourism. Here, unique volcanic landscapes, perfectly preserved medieval villages, culinary and wine delights, nature trails, and world-renowned spas all come together.
In the heart of Veneto, just a few kilometers from Padua, rise the Euganean Hills—a group of about one hundred hills that suddenly emerge from the plain, offering one of the region’s most evocative landscapes. Designated a Regional Park in 1989, they represent an area rich in biodiversity, history, culinary traditions, and spectacular views.
Their origins date back to ancient times: about 35 million years ago, during the Oligocene epoch, intense volcanic activity led to the formation of these magmatic hills. Over the millennia, erosion has shaped the landscape, creating the characteristic conical hills that today are home to forests, vineyards, olive groves, and charming little villages.
The Park encompasses fifteen municipalities in the province of Padua: Abano Terme, Arquà Petrarca, Baone, Battaglia Terme, Cervarese Santa Croce, Cinto Euganeo, Este, Galzignano Terme, Lozzo Atestino, Monselice, Montegrotto Terme, Rovolon, Teolo, Torreglia, and Vo’. Each one boasts a unique heritage of Venetian villas, castles, nature trails, wineries, and historical landmarks that chronicle over three thousand years of the region’s history.
Whether you’re planning a romantic weekend, a day out with friends, or a vacation in Veneto, Lovivo Tour Experience will guide you on a journey of discovery through a surprising region, where every hill tells a story and every view invites you to slow down. Discover the Euganean Hills with our guided tours, which include minivan transportation directly from your hotel and a relaxed atmosphere (maximum of 8 participants per tour).
