From Abano, Montegrotto, and Padua, we’ll pick you up directly at your hotel; from Venice, we’ll arrange your train travel to the nearest station and then continue the journey by van.

At the foot of the Euganean Hills, Monselice is one of the most fascinating historic towns in the Veneto region. Its medieval streets, ancient fortifications and hilltop monuments create a unique atmosphere, while the Rocca rises above the town as a reminder of Monselice’s strategic importance throughout the centuries.

As we explore the town, we’ll discover the stories, buildings and historic families that shaped Monselice and its place in the history of northern Italy.

Our experience begins at Castello Cini, the historic castle complex overlooking Monselice. Inside, you’ll discover an extraordinary collection of antique weapons, chests, tapestries and period furnishings from different parts of Italy. As we explore the castle, your guide will bring its history to life and explain how the noble families who lived here shaped the town over the centuries.

From the castle, we’ll continue along Via del Santuario, a beautiful hillside path leading toward the Rocca. Along the way, we’ll encounter the famous Seven Churches, a sequence of small chapels inspired by the tradition of the Seven Pilgrim Churches of Rome. The route has been a destination for pilgrims for centuries and is one of the most distinctive walks in Monselice.

To finish the experience, we’ll visit an olive oil mill in the Euganean Hills. The young owners will introduce us to the local olive-oil tradition, explain how extra virgin olive oil is produced, and invite us to taste their oil.

📍 From Padua. Staying in Padua? We’ll take care of the transportation. We’ll pick you up directly at your hotel or B&B with our minivan, or at the nearest spot outside the restricted traffic zone (ZTL). At the end of the tour, we’ll take you back to your hotel. No cars, no parking, and no planning—just enjoy the tour.

🚆 From Venice. Staying in Venice? Join us by train. We’ll arrange your train trip from Venice to Terme Euganee station, and we’ll meet you there. At the end of the excursion, we’ll take you back to the station to catch your return train. You don’t have to worry about logistics—we’ll handle all the arrangements, and train tickets are included. Just make sure to provide us with a valid phone number with WhatsApp enabled for necessary communications!

  For the meeting point in Padua, select: 8.30 or 1:45 PM.

• How long does the tour last? From Padua, Abano, and Montegrotto, the tour lasts about 5 hours. From Venice, it takes about 7–8 hours, including train travel.
• Why is the Cini Castle worth visiting? The Cini Castle in Monselice is famous for its unique historical layers, which combine medieval buildings, fortifications, and Renaissance-era interiors. Inside, it houses important collections of weapons and historical furnishings, including an armory with over 900 pieces, as well as splendid fireplaces, tapestries, and period furniture. It is one of Monselice’s most iconic landmarks and chronicles nearly a thousand years of the city’s history.
• Does the tour take place even if it rains? Yes, the tour goes ahead even in bad weather. The scenic walk may be shortened, but the visits to the castle and the oil mill will proceed as scheduled. We recommend bringing an umbrella, a windbreaker, and comfortable shoes.
